Selected for Mojo Nation's Top 100 Most Influential Figures In Toy and Game Design; Independent Creatives for 2020 & 2021!
I’ve been a toy industry, children's and consumer packaging illustrator for 20+ years and have completed many projects for Hasbro, Fisher-Price, Spin Master, Lego and other toy companies, as well as pharma & consumer advertising, children’s & educational publishing and concept art for inventors and product developers.
I deliver a wide range of mass-market styles — from top-notch vector illustration to animation-style characters in the Pixar/Nickelodeon vein, to fully-rendered digital paint as seen in the various pages on my portfolio website www.kennyk.com.
I expertly adhere to style guides for licensed characters, as well as designing new original characters and creating fun cartoon logos and kids marketing materials such as illustrated activity pages and restaurant kids' menus & fast food promotions. I’m experienced, extremely reliable, very easy to work with, and always deliver on time!
I love to keep busy, and always welcome the opportunity to discuss a new potential project; give me a yell - let’s work together!

Testimonial love for Kenny Kiernan Illustration Studio!
"Kenny's illustrations are truly professional quality and his communication and attention to detail are just as exceptional. He is more than just a designer, he is a valuable member of our product development team. It's rare to find those who genuinely care and are enjoyable to work with, but that's who Kenny is. If you're looking for the best of the best, you've found him!"
– Todd Miner, Miner Products; inventor of "The Gift Grab Game"
"When I hired Kenny for an illustration, I had a style in mind. After chatting with Kenny, he was happy to replicate and improve on it. His work was well beyond my expectations! Even better: he is super nice to work with, fast and always on time. You will not go wrong hiring him."
– Veronica Semeco, Group Art Supervisor, BGB Group
"I've worked with Kenny for several years at Scholastic on Lego City books and Kenny creatively delivers, every time! He goes above and beyond expectations with his strong layout skills and beautiful illustrations, and he understands the Lego City Style Guide.
We have very few artists who understand the Lego City style guide and it's difficult get approval from our Licensor; but his work has always been an exception, which is why I recommend Kenny without hesitation, and look forward to working with him again."
– Angela Jun, Art Director, Scholastic
"Kenny’s clean, energetic style works so well on illustrative projects from patient-friendly posters and comic books, to videos for sales rep meetings. It’s so easy to download him on what needs to get done in such a small amount of time. After a mere phone call, he gets on YOUR page — like a vulcan mind meld — it’s really amazing.
He’s so excited to work on new things, and is always at the ready to meet demanding time constraints. Kenny's got that rare ability to be artistically talented, but disciplined with time. I’ve never been disappointed by his work and doubt anyone can be."
– Zinnia Kang, Group Art Supervisor at H4B Chelsea
"I started working with Kenny Kiernan way back in 2000, when he designed the well-known J-14 Girl mascot character we still love and use today. His editorial illustration work for Bauer Publishing has always been top-notch. Kenny knows how to stage a scene and creates fun, engaging characters with humor, personality and a youthful energy that makes them jump off the page.
Consistently professional, easy to work with, and always delivers on time. Talented guy, and highly recommended!"
– Gary Walsh, Art Director, Bauer Publishing
"I have worked with Kenny K on many Outcast Otter projects and am always happy with Kenny's outstanding work and attention to details. He is a superb comic artist and the first one I call for new characters."
– Montgomery C. Floyd, CEO, Outcast Global Holdings, LLC
"My experience with Kenny far exceeded my expectations! He was easy to work with and truly made the characters in my book come to life. I could not be more pleased with the outcome of this book, and look forward to continuing our endeavors on future projects."
– Todd Pasick, World Silver Medalist, author of "The Adventures of Hockey Todd"
"Kenny has illustrated several projects where I was the art director. He's extremely talented, smart and knows exactly how to capture ideas with his illustrations. His craftsmanship is impeccable—there's not one stray point on his vectors. He's also reliable with schedules, and a pleasure to deal with. I hope to work with Kenny again in the future!"
